Hosting or sponsoring an event allows businesses to be in the spotlight and reinforces their commitment to the chamber and its events.
Hosting an open house allows businesses to introduce their products or services to the membership and public. The come-and-go atmosphere allows individuals to experience the businesses products/services, but lend to an environment where networking can occur.
Showcase your business! Present your newly remodeled or expanded business, celebrate a milestone, anniversary, or award.
On the last Friday of every month, January-October, members are invited to participate in the Chamber Membership Lunch.The event includes a program presented by the Chamber or by another individual/organization geared toward helping you and your business.
Weekly Chamber Chat
Chamber Chat are hosted by a different Chamber business every Friday morning. The hosting business provides refreshments and opens their business up for a informal networking event. Share your news about an upcoming event or promotion within the chamber & member businesses.
New Member Orientation
The Chamber hosts a one hour orientation session to businesses and individuals who have recently joined the chamber. This program is also beneficial for long-time Chamber members who wish to learn about new benefits that are available.
The Chamber hosts 3 Legislative Forums a year, giving the membership and the public an opportunity to meet with the state Senator and Representatives from western Kansas. These forums are ideal for learning about the issues facing our state government and how they may affect member businesses.

Known as the visual and social “arm” of the Chamber, these individuals represent the Chamber in various capacities at various events. Members of the Chamber or employees of a member business are eligible to serve as an ambassador.

This group of individuals work to guide the Chamber toward growth and acts as a governing body. Any individual who has a full membership or works for a business holding a full membership is eligible to serve on the Board of Directors.
Hays Area Young Professionals (HAYP)
Cost: $80/individual of full chamber member
This group is for individuals between the ages of 21-40 who are seeking to expand their business and professional opportunities.The mission of HAYP is to promote the development, recruitment & retention of young professionals in the Hays area; to build a bond between community & young professionals; to make the Hays area the best place to live, work and play!
$250/individual of full chamber member
Build your skills and capacities to become a 21st Century Leader. The Leadership Hays program brings a diverse group of individuals together to learn about leadership and the skills necessary to grow leadership in their homes, businesses and community.The class meets in ½ day sessions over a 6 week period.

The Chamber receives hundreds of calls and emails every month asking for information about all types of businesses. We gladly refer people to your business. Also, through the networking and marketing opportunities outlined above, the Chamber can help you generate business leads.

The "Spotlight Newsletter" is a monthly publication. Each newsletter is full of information about Chamber members, tips to help your business grow or become even more successful, articles containing information that affects you as a business community, and a calendar of events. Additionally, the newsletter provides a variety of marketing opportunities as outlined in “Marketing Opportunities” above.

As the Chamber’s largest event, the Annual Banquet brings approximately 450 Chamber members and guests together for an evening of dining and entertainment. The evening consists of a social hour,entertainment,dinner and an awards ceremony honoring several men and women throughout the community.

The Chamber’s budget is driving primarily by membership and sponsorship dollars. To supplement this funding, the Chamber holds an Annual Golf Tournament which centers on fun and providing an enjoyable experience for attendees.
FREE to attendees
The Education Appreciation welcomes new teachers and faculty members from all the local schools, NCK Tech and Fort Hays State University. The reception is the Chamber’s way of thanking these individuals for their work in shaping the future leaders of our community. It is also an opportunity to bring leaders in education and business together for networking and socializing.
Variety of ranges
A dinner recognizing the tremendous contribution of the area farmers and ranchers to our Western Kansas way of life. The evening is highlighted with a dinner prepared by our local bankers and served by our Ambassadors. Socializing and drawings for door prizes round out the evening’s events.
